Located directly inside of Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) is the Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel. A full service Marriott product that offers room with views of the airport for any aviation lover. Being a full-service Marriott, this hotel has an Executive Lounge located on the top floor of the hotel.
The lounge is staffed during the weekdays offering complimentary breakfast and an evening reception. On the weekends, guests with lounge access can go to the front desk and receive a complimentary breakfast coupon to enjoy breakfast in the restaurant on-site.
Upon entering the lounge, there is nothing short to adequate seating and you are greeted with a bowl of assorted fruits. The lounge offers a small business center with one Apple computer and printer that allows printing of work documents or boarding passes. The printer only has printing capabilities and will not allow scanning or faxing.
The lounge at the Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel offers a wide array of snacks and beverages. A mix of different Canadian snack mixes and trail mixes were offered as well as an assortment of Miss Vickies potato chips, granola bars, and cookies. The beverage offerings were that of any Marriott as required by brand standard and the lounge offered an array of Pepsi products and juices. Bottled water was offered as well as a tap offering still and sparkling water. A Nespresso machine was available with numerous espresso tabs and an option for hot water for tea.
If you were looking to relax or get work done this lounge has the seating for you. Offering a large six person working table in a private corner of the room will allow for you to run a small business meeting if needed. The lounge offers more work table seating in the main communal area of the lounge, as well as executive chairs and seats along the windows to get work done while plane spotting and watching numerous planes coming in and out of Montreal airport.
Gaining access to the lounge is granted as a benefit of the Marriott Bonvoy Platinum benefit and higher. Some hotels also offered a paid upgrade or to book a room with lounge access at the time of booking. Marriott offers numerous hotels that offer lounges with your elite benefits.
Overall, the lounge offered a wide variety of seating, snacks and beverages. It allowed you to relax or get work done, the only downfall of the lounge would be the lounge not being staffed on weekends, this is something that began when lounges opened back up after COVID, and most hotels are now back to full operation within the lounges. With the lounge not being staffed, there were sometimes low levels of snacks and beverages as they were not consistently refreshed. Finally, the lounge was ultimately cleaned and a decent hotel lounge with incredible views of the airport and airplanes.
