Located just south of The Woodlands, Texas on the outskirts of Houston is the Houston CityPlace Marriott at Springwoods Village. Built between Exxon and HP headquarters this new build Marriott is in a soon to be developed area, almost resembling a miniature version of The Woodlands waterway located just a short 10 minutes north. The hotel is situated within walking distance to a movie theater, Chipotle and small shops and restaurants. Parking options include a paid valet option, paid parking garage or street parking. Street parking is free and often you can get a spot relatively close to the hotel and save yourself over $20 a night in parking fees.
Upon entering the lobby at Houston CityPlace Marriott at Springwoods Village, it is instantly noticed the new modern design, with high ceilings you get a sense of space. Across from the lobby is a small hotel shop offering toiletries, beverages, and snacks. In the lobby there are plenty of seating options to allow socialization and productivity. With a small business center located next to the hotel shop, it makes printing documents or boarding passes a breeze.
The staff has always been welcoming but not overly friendly. The staff delivers the basics but does not exceed in true hospitality. Also located in the lobby sits an M Club Lounge and Switchouse “Plates N Pours” Restaurant. The restaurant serves Texas cuisine in an upscale but rustic setting. The M Club Lounge is easily one of the best M Clubs in the United States. In the morning, the lounge offers a complimentary hot buffet breakfast. The lounge is often fully stocked on numerous occasions, offers a wide range of snacks and beverages 24 hours a day. Within the lounge you can also use the self-serve wine dispenser that charges directly to your room with the tap of your keycard. Sunday through Thursday the lounge offers an evening reception which is a generous spread of small plates and desserts served in a buffet setting.

The rooms have a modern and rustic ambiance. The rooms come equipped with plenty of plug outlets to charge electronics, a smart TV that can access numerous streaming services, and a large modern bathroom with a barn style door. Upon entering the room, just like the rest of the property you can tell it is a clean hotel. The rooms make it easy to get work done, with a large desk, and a collaboration table and bench within each room.
The hotel offers a beautiful outdoor infinity pool that allows the guests to beat the Texas heat as well as a modern fitness center.
