The staff member checking us in was swift and helpful, giving us an upper floor corner room. Elevators in the lobby area are separated by floor numbers in an effort to reduce overcrowding and long wait times for elevators. Entering the room, there is a sense of space among the plush furnishings and modern decor. While not the fanciest, the understated nanosphere is crisp and relaxing. As with the rest of the guestroom, the bathroom is clean, crisp and functional.

Nearby Attractions

During the winter time Toronto can become quite cold. A vast array of underground tunnels makes walking in the cold a breeze. The Delta Hotels Toronto is connected to “The Path” which connects major office buildings, the Scotia Bank Arena and Union Station. Throughout The Path are shops and small eateries. Within easy walking distance from the hotel is the aquarium, CN Tower, convention center and the Scotiabank Arena. Also Union Station is a right next-door serving commuter, long distance trains and the TTC subway.

Check-Out

What the Delta Hotels Toronto lacks for in pizazz, it makes up for in many ways. Each staff member encountered was polite and was in a cheerful working mood, something lacking these days in many hotel properties. Both the guestroom and lounge were in impeccable shape, offering more than adequate space for this short stay. Whether visiting Toronto for business or leisure, the location of the hotel is just about perfect, with major tourist and sporting attractions in close proximity. If needing to catch an early morning train to Pierson or shuttle bus to Billy Bishop airport, both options are no more than a 10 minute walk. If looking for a great no nonsense hotel in a prime location, look no further than the Delta Hotels by Marriott Downtown.
