Western Global Airlines, a FAA 121 certified long-haul wide-body cargo airline has successfully completed financial restructuring. Earlier in the year the cargo operator entered into Chapter 11. Under the restructuring plan Western Global Airlines (WGA) reduced their debt by more than $460 million while preserving their workforce, customers and suppliers. The cargo operator provides services for air cargo operators, e commerce companies and provides ACMI, full service operations and US Department of Defense contracts.
Maintaining A Robust Cargo Fleet
Throughout the restructuring process WGA emerged with their original fleet of four Boeing 747-400s, fifteen McDonnell Douglas MD-11 as well as eleven spare part out aircraft.
