Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Hotels and Virgin Voyages customers have a new way to gain points towards their travels. Beginning fall 2024, Virgin is launching a brand new Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard. As with many credit cards, Virgin Points can be redeemed on Virgin flights, Virgin Voyages cruises and hotel stays. Shai Weiss, Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Atlantic, said: โ€œThe Virgin Red Rewards Card will allow US cardholders to enjoy our brilliantly different customer experience across every part of their journey. They can now earn and burn Virgin Points, putting them towards their next adventure to the UK on Virgin Atlantic, staying at the brand new Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch, before setting sail on a Virgin Voyage from ports across Europe. We canโ€™t wait for more people to experience our award-winning Clubhouses and experience on board, delivered by our amazing people.โ€

What Perks The Card Brings

Travel credit cards are becoming a competitive space, with almost every major credit card company and airline dipping their toes in the market. With the Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard, cardholders will be able to earn three Virgin Points for every dollar spent on purchases with Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Hotels and Virgin Voyages. Additionally cardmembers have the opportunity to earn two Virgin Points for every dollar spent on dining, select grocery stores, streaming services, and even EV charging. All other purchases are valued at one Virgin Point per dollar spent. Other perks are included upon reaching spend of $15,000 such as a Flying Club reward voucher for a companion seat or a cabin upgrade on Virgin Atlantic, one free hotel night stay at a participating Virgin Hotel, up to $300 bar tab with Virgin Voyages and more. When it is time to renew your card you can earn 5,000 points upon renewal.

Who Is This Card For

This card may not be for everyone but in my opinion, if you are very loyal to Virgin brands such as Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Hotels or Virgin Voyages, then this card might be for you. Even if you do not frequently travel with one of the aforementioned Virgin brands, it is possible to earn World Elite Mastercardยฎ rewards, savings and with partners across travel, shopping, wellness and more. So if you are an avid traveler and go getter, the $95 annual fee may be worth the investment.
