Virgin Hotels has welcomed its second property to New York City, located on 1227 Broadway in the up and coming NoMad neighborhood in Manhattan. The sprawling 38 story hotel houses over 460 guestrooms called chambers. Virgin Hotels New York also offers luxurious penthouse suites near the top floor. Sir Richard Branson along with the LAM group celebrated the grand opening with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. The overall design inside and out of the Virgin Hotels New York features a very unique yet upscale décor. The grand opening expands the Virgin Hotels Portfolio complementing their other properties across Europe and across destination cities throughout the United States such as, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Nashville.
Virgin Atlantic invited The Path Less Traveled staff to tour their brand new Airbus A330neo at JFK which operates between London and New York. This was followed by a celebration of the official opening of the Virgin Hotels New York. In true Virgin Atlantic style the celebration included non stop action packed events throughout the evening. Located in the front entrance was a bright red Virgin branded taxi. Throughout the Manhattan area, people were on the lookout for this special taxi as it is decked out on the inside resembling the Virgin Atlantic A330neo product. Named Taxi For Takeoff, lucky passengers who rode in the taxi could be entered into a drawing for for a free flight to London. Ascending up to the 38th floor to the Sky Loft Terrace, guests in attendance got a sneak peak at some performances hosted by Virgin Voyages performers. Prior to the performance, Sir Richard Branson made an appearance showcasing to the audience what can be expected in terms of performance aboard Virgin Voyages the adults only cruise line launched by Virgin in the pandemic.
