Virgin Atlantic Names Aircraft After Queen Elizabeth II

,

Virgin Atlantic has had a long history of assigning all of their aircraft specific names. Virgin Atlantic has named a factory fresh Airbus A330neo registration-VEII, “queen of the skies” in honor of Queen Elizabeth II. The name of the aircraft has struck some debate with some aviation enthusiasts. Many refer to the Boeing 747 as the Queen of the skies, so seeing this on an Airbus A330 can be seen as a controversial way to name for some. Virgin Atlantic will fly the Airbus A330neo exclusively on routes such as Tampa Florida offering lie flat seats with enclosed suites. Be on the lookout as Virgin Atlantic may announce additional names for newly delivered aircraft.
