United Airlines is revamping their Domestic First Class product with some exciting enhancements. The new domestic first class seats will feature a new design with vegan leather upholstery, privacy screens, charging outlets, and Bluetooth capable seatback screens. According to United, over 200 aircraft will feature the updated product by 2025. Select Boeing 737, Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft will see a much needed refresh featuring the new seats. Factory new Airbus A321neo and Boeing 737-MAX aircraft will also feature the new first class seats.
Enhancements All Around
The new United First product will feature many enhancements compared to the outgoing product which launched back in 2015. A 13-inch high-definition screen will be Bluetooth capable and features a remote to better access the screen. Passengers can charge multiple electronic devices at once with three separate types of charging options. There will be an AC power outlet, USB-C and a first for United Airlines, wireless charging. The wireless charger will be located in a compartment of the armrest. Tray Tables are completely redesigned with an 18 x 8.5 Inch table with a built in tablet holder and separate cocktail table, separating drinks and snacks from the main tray table.
Increased Privacy
Compared to United’s outgoing product, the new United First seats feature an 11 x 19-inch divider between neighbors. As with Delta Air Lines A321neo First Class seat, the winged headrests will be encased around a wrap around shell adding additional privacy. Seat height has been lowered by one inch to accommodate various passenger heights. United Airlines revamped domestic first class product will greatly improve the passenger experience.
