United Airlines will be adding more new aircraft to their growing fleet. United Airlines has placed an order for 110 new aircraft expected to arrive in 2028. This order will compliment the current orders as part of the United Next fleet renewal program. In addition to revamping United’s first class product, United will take in 800 new aircraft between 2023 and 2032.
Replenishing The Domestic And International Fleet
United Airlines latest order will further enhance both the domestic narrowbody aircraft as and wide body transatlantic fleet. Over 60 Airbus A321neos will be delivered between 2028 and 2030. This supplements United Airlines previous order for 50 of the longer range A321XLR and 70 A321neos. In all this will bring United Airlines to a total of 180 A321neo family of aircraft. The first A321neo aircraft is expected to operate from Chicago (ORD) to Phoenix (PHX) on December 14, 2023. United Airlines is also ordering 50 more Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. These aircraft will primary operate International routes across the Atlantic and Pacific. Deliveries for the 787 Dreamliners is expected to commence in 2028 supplementing the current 787 fleet which consists of the Boeing 787-8, 787-9 and 787-10 family of widebody aircraft.
