United Airlines is expanding their international footprint adding new international service from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Marrakesh,ย Tokyo Narita to Cebuย andย Houston Intercontinental (IAH) to Medellin. Flights to Marrakesh will be flown on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft outfitted with Polaris lie flat seating while the other added routes will be flown on Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Tickets to Marrakesh andย Medellinย are expected to be available starting late 2024.
Increasing Frequencies On Key International Routes
In addition to the new service, United is working to resume pre pandemic frequencies to China. United will resume four times weekly service between Shanghai and Los Angeles beginning August 29, 2024. Then, in late 2024, the frequency will be increased to daily service. Additionally, United will increase frequencies from Los Angeles-Hong Kong launching a second daily flight. Meanwhile on the transatlantic front, United will add a second daily flight from Newark to Porto. “We have consistently been ahead of the curve in finding hidden gem destinations for our customers to explore and remain committed to providing the most unique slate of travel options for their adventures abroad,” saidย Patrick Quayle, United’s Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances.
