European low-cost carrier Transavia Airlines has taken delivery of their first Airbus A321neo. This first order is the beginning of the carriers transition to an all-Airbus fleet. Currently Transavia operates a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft. The new Airbus Aircraft will offer Transavia a more fuel efficient fleet while offering increased seating capacity.
Supporting Growth For Transavia
Transavia is owned by Air France-KLM Group. As part of the groups growth, the new A321neos will offer increased seat capacity. The newly delivered aircraft will seat 232 passengers in a single class layout. Compared to current aircraft, the A321neos will feature 40% more storage space thanks to Airbusโ Airspace XL bins. The cabin will offer passengers USB charging at every seat along with mood lighting throughout the cabin. On the delivery flight to Transavia’s base in Amsterdam, the aircraft will depart the Hamburg factory utilizing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) on its delivery flight. Expect more of these fuel efficient aircraft operating on flights out of Amsterdam and Paris in the near future.
