Lets face it, traveling these days can be quite the stressful endeavor. Luckily for travelers at Hartford Connecticut’s Bradley International Airport (BDL) some four legged friends are visiting the airport to make the travel experience less stressful. The Bradley Buddies therapy dog program, along with their handlers walked through the terminal interacting with travelers on August 26,2024.
Reducing The Stress Of Travel
Therapy dogs are becoming part of a growing trend among airports. On a flight into Philadelphia, there was a pair of therapy dogs waiting at the exit of the jetway for some much needed pets. At Bradley International airport, this phenomena was no exception. The dogs gave passengers the opportunity to interact with them and even pose for some photos in light of National Dog Day. The breeds visiting the terminal were a German shepherd, Australian shepherd, border collie, goldendoodle, golden retriever and Yorkshire terrier. The Bradley Buddies program launched back in August 2017 consisting over 16 active members. The certified therapy dogs frequently visit the airport on a regular basis, bringing much pawsitivity and relaxation to the travel experience. Be on the lookout for these furry friends the next time you are traveling out of Bradley International Airport!
