Traveling in densely populated cities can be a huge hassle. If you are in Vegas there is a cool alternative being built underneath the Vegas strip. Currently you can bear the 90+ degree heat or wait forever for a rideshare. The third and lesser known alternative goes from Resorts World Casino to the Las Vegas Convention Center. Best of all its just 3 dollars per passenger. We stumbled upon this system by mere coincidence. We were exploring Resorts World Casino and saw signs for the Tesla Vegas Loop. We eagerly walked toward the entrance to check out the system. Entering the pickup area we were greeted by a friendly attendant who gave us instructions on how to book. As there were no conventions going on our only booking option was roundtrip to and from Resorts World.
History
In 2016 Elon Musk announced the creation of The Boring Company. By 2017 they began tunnel boring at SpaceX in California to connect the surrounding properties. In 2019 the Las Vegas Convention And Visitors Authority awarded The Boring Company a multi-million dollar contract to begin connecting the convention center with Resorts World Casino. In the near future, additional funding is expected to have the system connect numerous casino properties on the Las Vegas Strip and even Fremont Street.
Our Ride
Walking to the main entrance we were greeted by a friendly attendant. All we had to do was scan the QR code and input our info. After that we were directed to our Tesla Model X. There were additional cars standing by, however during our ride it was not crowded as there was no activity at the Convention Center.
Going through the tunnel we were taken back at how futuristic the system is. The entire tunnel had the unique white walls created by the Tesla Boring System. There were different light patterns adding to the Las Vegas party vibe.

Final Stop
Riding the Tesla Vegas Loop gave us a sense of hope for the future of travel and transportation. Crowded trains and streets may become a thing of the past in a not so distant future. If you happen to be in Vegas be on the lookout for the Vegas Loop, it on day could be the most optimal transportation around the city.
