Sun Country Airlines is expanding their international route network with two new routes. Starting Winter 2023, Sun Country will resume nonstop service from Minneapolis Saint Paul (MSP) to Princess Juliana International Airport in Saint Maarten (SXM). Flights will operate once a week on Saturdays starting January 13, 2024. The route will be flown seasonally to start ending on April 6, 2024.
New Routes, Planes and Schedule Extensions
Sun Country will begin flying from Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) to Cancun (CUN). Flights will begin Winter 2023 on a seasonal basis switching to daily service in 2024. Sun Country is also adding nonstop Flights from MKE to:
- Fort Myers (RSW)
- Orlando (MCO)
- Phoenix (PHX)
Selling schedules for Sun Country are now extended through April 2024 allowing for bookings during the busy holiday and spring break travel seasons. In a recent press release, Sun Country Airlines states that they offer the most destinations from MSP to Florida as well as Mexico and the Caribbean. To meet increased demand, secondhand Boeing 737-900s are being ordered in 2024. Currently, the airline operates Boeing 737-800s, a single 737-700 and a dozen aircraft operating for Amazon.
