Southwest Airlines is setting their sights on a large domestic and international expansion for the upcoming new year. Following the airlines operational meltdown in January 2023, the airline has rebounded with a robust domestic and international network while making improvements to the customer experience. As the booking schedule is now effective through August 4, 2024 a handful of international and domestic routes will be added in addition to a newly established crew base in Nashville.
New International Routes & New Domestic Routes
Eight new international routes will join Southwest Airlines international network from Orlando International Airport (MCO). Pending government approval, effective August 4, 2024 Southwest will offer nonstop service from Orlando MCO to:
- Cancun (CUN)
- Grand Cayman (GCM)
- Nassau (NAS)
- Providenciales (PLS)
- Punta Cana (PUJ)
- San Jose (SJO)
Domestic destinations will also see some LUV and receive a mix of daily and seasonal service from Burbank, Colorado Springs, Dallas (Love Field) and Nashville. To help meet the demand for the new routes which will bring Southwest to a total 4,526 daily departures 108 additional Boeing 737 MAX7 aircraft will join the fleet. The new domestic routes joining the domestic network include:

- Kansas City (MCI)
- New Orleans (MSY)
- San Antonio (SAT)
- Saint Louis (STL)
- Colorado Springs
- Baltimore Washington (BWI)
- Dallas Love Field (Seasonal Service)
- Buffalo (BUF)
- Fresno (FAT)
- Providence (PVD)
- Spokane (CEG)
- Nashville (Seasonal Service)
- Bozeman (BZN)
- Grand Rapids (GRR)
