Porter Airlines has added flights between Ottawa (YOW) to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (YYG) starting May 17, 2023. Initial bookings showed strong demand for the route. As a result, Porter Airlines will be increasing frequency on the route. Initially the route was going to comprise 7 weekly round trips however, strong demand increases the routes to 11 weekly round trips. Flights will be operated on Porters turboprop aircraft, the De Havilland Dash 8-400. Between May 17, 2023 to June 23, 2023 the route will operate 11 times a week. From June 24, 2023 to September 4, 2023 the route will operate 14 times a week. Over the past year, Porter Airlines has launched a massive expansion and welcomed the Embraer E195-E2 jet aircraft to the fleet expanding the airlines reach. Porter Airlines has also added flights from Ottawa to New York (Newark), Boston and Thunder Bay. Tickets are currently available at flyporter.com.
