Airline newcomer Northern Pacific Airways has announced their inaugural flight from Ontario International Airport, CA (ONT) to Las Vegas (LAS). The route will depart ONT at 2PM on Fridays arriving into LAS one hour later. The return trip will be done on Sunday with a 2PM departure. The first flight is expected to start June 2, 2023. Fares can be booked for as low as $93 on the airlines website. Northern Pacific Airways has had a rocky and questionable history. The airline initially looked to commence operations out of Anchorage, Alaska (ANC) with flights to Asia and the United States. Following the coronavirus pandemic and conflicts with Russia, Northern Pacific Airways shifted focus on flights to Mexico from California. They took another shift in route strategy with goals of operating flights out of Saipan to destinations to Asia. Over the past few years, the airline has focused on gaining capital and acquiring used Boeing 757-200 aircraft from American Airlines. Northern Pacific Airways has solicited everyday investors through a crowdfunding campaign with investments as low as $100.
