Betting Big On Vegas
Norse is betting big on Las Vegas, literally. The airline is giving the route a special lucky 7 flight number of Z0777. โWe are excited to introduce this new route from London Gatwick to Las Vegas, a unique city that offers unparalleled diversity, boasting an abundance of entertainment, dining, and recreational options to suit every taste. For those seeking breathtaking natural landscapes, including nearby national parks such as the Grand Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, and Valley of Fire State Park, this destination is also an explorerโs paradise,โ said Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO and Founder Norse Atlantic Airways.
A Growing Transatlantic Network
It is not just Las Vegas that Norse is betting on. The airline recently announced nonstop service from Oslo to Bangkok, and from London Gatwick to a handful of Caribbean destinations. While an exciting feat, the long term viability of the low cost transatlantic market is yet to bee seen. A handful of low cost long haul operators such as wow, Primera Air and Norwegian Air Shuttle had ceased operations after financial troubles. So far, Norse Atlantic and rival operator French bee are demonstrating that there may be a viable market for affordable transatlantic service to leisure destinations like Las Vegas.
