Transatlantic low cost operator Norse Atlantic Airways is expanding their North American footprint. Beginning Summer 2025, Norse will operate nonstop service between Rome and Los Angles aboard their Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner “longships.” Tickets are now available on www.flynorse.com with one-way fares found for as low as โ‚ฌ149 one way.

Continued Success In Los Angeles

Norse is facing a little bit of an uphill battle. Other transatlantic operators like Norwegian and Premia Air have attempted the transatlantic low cost model with little success. Initially Norse reported staggering losses however, in Q3 of 2023 the airline reported their first net profit of $1.6 million. In addition to reporting healthier profits the airline has scaled up to 12 destinations. Los Angeles in particular has seen healthy demand for Norse’s route between Los Angles and Oslo. As such the airline will resume service three times weekly starting May 2025. As for the Rome service Norse will operate the route three times per week. โ€œWe are proud to introduce this exciting new route connecting Rome and Los Angeles, two of the worldโ€™s most dynamic cities. Our passengers will have the opportunity to explore the deep history of Rome and the cultural energy of Los Angeles, all while enjoying our affordable and comfortable flights,โ€ said Bjรธrn Tore Larsen, CEO and Founder of Norse Atlantic Airways. It will be interesting to see the reception from both passengers and other airlines as Norse enters into the competitive landscape at Los Angles International Airport (LAX).
