JetBlue has released their newest and bluest livery to date. The first aircraft to sport the new livery is a Mint configured Airbus A321 cleverly named “A Defining MoMint.” The aircraft is expected to go into service on June 15, 2023. The new livery differs heavily from current liveries which consist of a white fuselage with blue lettering and a blue patterned tail section. The new livery takes things up a notch with a completely blue fuselage with a reimagined mint leaf tail pattern. Jayne OโBrien, head of marketing and loyalty for JetBlue says that “โThe new livery helps us stand out among a sky of legacy carriers, and is a stunning reflection of our role as a disruptor that uniquely combines lower fares and great service.โ
A Disruptive Livery For A Disruptive Airline
According to JetBlue the livery design has a strong correlation to the airline’s role as a disruptor in the industry. Specifically, design choices such as a larger logo represent the bold impact the brand and aircraft have in the industry. For plane spotters and aviation enthusiasts alike the JetBlue logo will be featured on the belly of the aircraft making it instantly recognizable. Other JetBlue aircraft are in the pipeline to receive the new livery with additional accent colors planned. Now that new routes and aircraft are expected in the coming months, the new JetBlue livery will soon be appearing at your local airport.
