JetBlue Airways and private rail operator Brightline have entered into a unique intermodal partnership offering additional access to cities such as Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando and West Palm Beach. JetBlue passengers will be able to make air and rail bookings through a single booking on JetBlue.com, a neat proposition if you ask me!
Expanding JetBlue Airways Florida Footprint
The unique partnership will help JetBlue to expand their footprint to secondary cities in Florida that Brightline currently services. Let say you want to fly from Las Vegas to Boca Raton. JetBlue does not fly this route but would make it possible by flying into Fort Lauderdale International Airport and taking a Brightline from the Fort Lauderdale station to Boca Raton. Currently, it is possible to put in your desired destination and Brightline segments will pop up on the JetBlue website. At the Airport, a complementary Brightline Shuttle will provide transport to and from the airport and train station. The intermodal agreement will also provide alternative itinerates to passengers affected by bad weather in Florida. “As we continue to grow in Florida and offer more flights to and from cities like Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Orlando, our partnership with Brightline helps us deliver even more value and convenience to our customers,” said Dave Jehn, vice president, network planning and airline partnerships, JetBlue. “JetBlue and Brightline share a commitment to innovation and great service, and together we’re expanding transportation options for all of our customers to get to where they want to go, whether they’re starting their journey, heading to their final destination, or adjusting plans along the way.” Tickets can booked by Visiting JetBlue.com.
