JetBlue Airways has some cool specially painted planes in their fleet including the Bruins to Dunkin Donuts to name a few. What seemed to be missing though is a livery paying tribute to one of their largest markets, Boston. That all changed in late December 2025 when JetBlue unveiled a special painted Airbus A320 cleverly named Wicked Blue.

Paying Tribute To Boston’s Storied History

JetBlue ensured that Wicked Blue would properly pay tribute Boston’s storied throughout sections of the aircraft. On the tail section JetBlue added a bit of their own history by placing a stamp with the date of their first ever service to Boston in the center. On the fuselage there is a post card inspired design that spells out Boston with illustrations in each letter. Included in the spelling includes iconic Boston landmarks such as the T, Paul Revere statue, Zakim Bridge, a Boston Lobster, the Massachusetts State House and the National Grid tank. Wicked Blue embodies our pride in the Boston community, crewmembers and customers who have helped build JetBlue into the airline we are today,” said Marty St. George, president, JetBlue. “Boston is one of our most important markets with a huge loyalty base, and it’s a key driver of our JetForward strategy to offer the best East Coast leisure network. We wanted to say thank you to Bostonians who’ve supported us for over 20 years, and what’s more fitting than sending our pride for Boston flying all over our network?” Personally, I think this special livery was cleverly done without being too busy. Hats off to the designers tasked with paying tribute to such a historical city for Massachusetts and JetBlue.
