Hyatt Hotels corporation has announced a new short-term vacation rental platform, Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt. The platform will feature private home rentals and remote hideaways throughout the United States. World of Hyatt members can directly book unique rentals ranging from beachfront houses to mountainside ski chalets. Best of all members can earn and redeem points as they would at a traditional hotel location.
Breaking Away From A Traditional Hotel Stay
Homes And Hideaways by World of Hyatt will operate quite differently than a traditional hotel property would. Initially Lowe and Destination Residences Managements (DRM) will operate the existing rental management business currently under the Destination Residences Management brand. Eventually, World of Hyatt’s platform will feature existing DRM properties offering members direct access booking through the platform. Hyatt promises that each property will be unique yet will be held to a thorough vetting process along with the property management company. No official launch date has been announced but Hyatt expects the platform to be operational over the next couple of weeks.
