Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has announced their latest property in the pipeline, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Athens Riviera. On January 23, 2024 Hard Rock International and GEK TERNA announced the commencement of their partnership for the construction and operation of the resort and casino. Currently the 1,000 key property is estimated to open in 2026.
Growing The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Portfolio
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Athens is not the only new build property in the pipeline. In the United States, Long Beach California will be home to a massive Hard Rock Hotel & Casino slated to open in 2027. Meanwhile, in Greece the development will consist of a massive casino hosting 200 table games and 2,000 slot machines. The main tower will be built on three levels with three separate orientations corresponding to reference points such as the Acropolis, the sea and Mount Hymettus. The property will host expansive venues including a 3,000 seat theater, an outdoor lawn and many retail and dining options. As with many destination properties, there will be a 23,000 square meter expo hall featuring expansive ballrooms and meeting areas throughout. If that wasn’t enough, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Athens will have bragging rights as the largest rooftop terrace.
