Starting March 31, 2024 Boston will welcome an additional international airline and destination. Etihad Airways will fly 4 times a week from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Abu Dhabi (WUH). Flights will operate Mondays, Fridays and Sundays utilizing Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Currently Etihad operates flights to the United States in Chicago, New York and Washington D.C. Boston will play a key role in Etihad’s network. Through a partnership with JetBlue, Etihad Airways passengers can connect to JetBlue’s expansive route network out of Boston.
A Growing Market
Boston has seen significant growth in international passenger routes. Recently Lufthansa ungauged their Munich flights to the Airbus A380 Super Jumbo. JetBlue airways added new international destinations from Boston including Paris and Amsterdam. With airlines like Etihad looking to enter the Boston market the airport has set on expanding their international terminal. Four Additional international Gates at Terminal E will be constructed to meet the increased demand for international travel.
