Delta Air Lines one of the multitude of carriers offering an elevated international first class product. Delta One offers a premium experience offering passengers lie flat seats many of which are in enclosed suites and dedicated check-in areas. What the product has been lacking however is a dedicated lounge. That has now no more as the very first Delta One Lounge is now open at New York’s John F Kennedy international Airport.
A Premium Offering Like No Other
The Delta One Lounge is located between Concourses A and B in Terminal 4, adjacent to the main security checkpoint. The journey which delta describes as “one of a kind” starts at starts at check-in. Delta One passengers will be greeted by a team of Elite Service agents providing white-glove service, offering warm towels and light refreshments.โฏBeginning fall 2024, the check-in area will feature a private TSA screening lane. The 39,000 square foot space is significantly larger than a Delta Sky Club. Ultra premium amenities include everything from fine dining to spa-like wellness treatments to valet services and more. Delta One ticketholders can curate their own one-of-a-kind Lounge experience, based on what their travel day is calling for. Architecture throughout the lounge pays tribute to New York landmarks such as New York brasseries and the original JFK terminals designed by world renowned airport architect Eero Saarinen.
The Delta One Lounge JFK features a 140 seat Brasserie restaurant offering a three course meal service. There is also a market and bakery offering seasonal dishes plated for walk up service. There is also a fully staffed beverage cart service that allows passengers to remain at their seat if they so choose.
A designated wellness area is located within the lounge offering nine reservable relaxation pods with full-body massage chairs and nap chairs, treatments from Grown-Alchemist certified therapists, and more. Given the longer flight durations the Delta One product is offered, there is plenty of space in the Delta One lounge to freshen up before or after a flight. There are eight shower suites which feature towels, bathrobes and slippers. There is a designated closet where a valet attendant can take clothing and shoes for a steam or shine while you shower.
Similar to Delta’s newer Sky Clubs, the Delta One Lounge JFK offers a dedicated outdoor seating area that will be open year round, thanks to the retractable glass awning.
“Our teams have spared no detail to ensure Delta One Lounge guests receive a truly memorable experience,” said Claude Roussel, Vice President โ Delta Sky Clubs and Lounge Experience. “Itโs a new era for Delta โ this Lounge is raising the bar across the board, from the amenities to the food and beverage offerings to the level of personalized service. We want our guests to feel the difference here; moreover, we want them to feel welcomed and valued from the moment they step through the door.” Additional Delta One Lounges are slated to open in LAX and Boston Logan International later this year
