Philippines low cost carrier Cebu Pacific has placed an order with Airbus for 70 Airbus A321neo aircraft. This firm order stems from a memorandum of understanding placed by Cebu Pacific in July 2024. This will bring Cebu Pacific to a total of 94 AirbusA320neo and seven A330neo widebody aircraft on backlog.
A Growing Airbus Fleet
Cebu Pacific operates 61 A320 Family aircraft on its extensive regional network. In addition it uses legacy A330 widebody aircraft on high density inter Asia routes. The A321neo order will allow the airline to up gauge routes currently flown on A320 aircraft to the larger A321neo. Benoรฎt de Saint-Exupรฉry said: โThe A320 Family has supported Cebu Pacificโs domestic and short-haul international network growth over the last two decades. Weโre grateful to the airline for its continued endorsement of our best selling single-aisle product line. The A321neo is highly regarded for its unparalleled economics, performance and fuel efficiency. Weโre confident that these additional A321neo aircraft will contribute strongly to the all-Airbus operatorโs next phase of expansion as one of Asia-Pacificโs leading low cost carriers.โ
