Soon enough highspeed rail from Orlando to Miami will soon become reality. Brightline has shared some renderings of their upcoming Orlando MCO Airport station. The station will connect Orlando International Airport to south Florida in approximately 3 hours. The route will be completed before the end of 2023. Located near terminal C, the sprawling complex houses a parking garage as well as the people mover connecting terminals A and B. Here passengers will be greeted to a bright yellow entrance were they will be able to purchase tickets at a kiosk or service desk. From there is the security checkpoint. Brightline is the only railroad in the United States to screen both passengers and bags prior to entering the station.
Two Station Lounges
The Brightline Orlando MCO station will house two separate lounges depending on the fare class. Smart class (economy) passengers will have access to the smart lounge which includes a dedicated kids area. Premium class passengers will have access to the premium lounge offering a dedicated lounge with complementary drinks and snacks.
Current And Future Route Extensions
Currently Brightline serves Miami and West Palm Beach with intermediate stops in-between. Later this year the Orlando extension will be complete with a total travel time of around 3 hours between Orlando and Miami. Future extensions will connect Orlando with Universal Studios and Tampa. The future looks bright for the privately funded railroad. Brightline tickets and information can be found at gobrightline.com
