On December 4, 2023 Brightline took their next big leap, increasing frequencies on their high speed rail line between Orlando and Miami. Brightline is beginning to run 32 daily trains with 16 daily departures from Orlando to Miami. This comes shortly after launching service from Orlando International Airport this September. The updated schedule adds additional trains departing Orlando at 5:50 pm arriving in Miami at 9:15 p.m. and a 1:45 p.m. Miami departure arriving in Orlando at 5:15 p.m.
Future Brightline High Speed Routes
Brightline initially launched operations in Florida in 2018 offering service from Miami to West Palm Beach with stops in Aventura, Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton. Unlike passenger rail agencies such as Amtrak, Brightline is the only privately owned intercity passenger rail operator in the United States. Following the recently launched Orlando extension, Brightline looks to extend service from Orlando to Tampa. Out west, Brightline is beginning preliminary works on Brightline West, connecting Las Vegas to Los Angeles with 200 MPH electric trains. While this is under development, enjoy the increased service from Orlando to Miami in the meantime.
