Breeze Airways has been undergoing massive growth this year and the airline does not seem to be letting up anytime soon. Breeze Airways will begin operating flights in and out of New York Stewart International Airport to Sunny Orlando International (MCO) and Charleston (CHS). The weekly nonstop service will commence February 15, 2024, for Orlando and February 16, 2024 for Charleston. Breeze will also add new routes from Burlington (BTV), Evansville (EVV), Grand Junction (GTJ), Madison (MSN) and Wilks Barre Scranton (EVP).
A New York City Secondary Airport
New York Stewart International Airport provides secondary reliever service for the greater New York area. The airport currently sees seasonal service from Atlantic Airways and Play airlines to Europe. Allegiant Air is the sole domestic operator out of Stewart following Frontier Airlines exit from Stewart. Now Breeze Airways and Allegiant will offer weekly flights to Florida. However, Breeze will offer their revamped Breeze Ascent product when running the Airbus A220s on the new routes. This will nicely compliment Breeze Airways current routes out of nearby Westchester County Airport (HPN). The new service schedule from New York Stewart International Airport will be as follows:
- Charleston International Airport (CHS) 2x weekly Friday and Monday.
- Orlando (MCO) 2x weekly Thursday and Sunday.
