U.S. cargo operator National Airlines has placed an order with Boeing for Four Boeing 777 Freighter aircraft at the Farnborough International Airshow on July 22, 2024. The 777 freighter aircraft will supplement National Airlines fleet of nine Boeing 747-400 freighters allowing for streamlined fleet and logistic operations. While no route specifics have been announced, the ad hoc charter and cargo operator will take advantage of the 4,900 mile range the Boeing 777 Freighter has to offer.
Continued Demand For Freight Aircraft
Despite cargo demand as a whole seeing a decline in demand, orders for cargo aircraft remain strong at Boeing has received orders for the 777 Freighter from Western Global Airlines and Atlas Air back in 2023. Boeing projects that over the next 20 years 2,845 Boeing freighter aircraft will enter into service. To date Boeing has delivered 270 777 Freighters globally.
