Avelo Airlines is further expanding their presence on the east coast. The ultra low cost carrier has announced three new routes including the newest city in Avelo’s network, Albany New York. From Albany Avelo will fly weekly service to Raleigh Durham, NC (RDU). Avelo will also start nonstop service from Boston’s secondary airport Manchester New Hampshire (MHT) to Greenville / Spartanburg, NC (GSP) as well as Rochester New York to Greenville. The new routes will begin May 2024.
Continued Growth In RDU
On February 15, 2023 Avelo officially opened the RDU crew base initially stationing a single Boeing 737 on the airfield. Since then Avelo has grown to two aircraft, stationing 90 RDU based crewmembers and support staff to support growing operations. According to Avelo Airlines, over 230,000 passengers and 1,700 flights have been carried by Avelo out of RDU. Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said, โWe are excited to celebrate one year of base operations at RDU by adding three more popular routes to our East Coast network.

- Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) – Albany International Airport (ALB) begins May 10, 2024 operating Mondays and Fridays.
- Greenville -Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) – Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) begins may 10, 2024 operating Mondays and Fridays.
- Greenville -Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) – to Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) beginning May 9, 2024 operating Thursdays and Sundays.
