Avelo Airlines Continues International Expansion

Avelo Airlines is setting their horizons on new international destinations beginning in 2025. The airline recently announced international service from Hartford Connecticut’s Bradley International Airport (BDL) to Cancun and Montego Bay. Continuing international expansion the airline has announced nonstop service to Montego Bay and Punta Cana from Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU) beginning February 2025. Both destinations will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Adding A New Domestic Base

On the domestic front Avelo Airlines will expand heavily out of the Carolinas. Beginning March 6, 2025 Avelo will open a crew and aircraft base in Charlotte-Concord (USA) North Carolina initially stationing a single Boeing 737 on the airfield. A second 737 will be based at Charlotte Concord beginning April 2025. In Wilmington North Carolina (ILM), Avelo will open an aircraft and crew base beginning April 3, 2025 with a single Boeing 737 based on the airfield eventually growing to two aircraft in late 2025. Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy said, โ€œOur North Carolina Customers tell us theyโ€™ve loved flying Avelo since we took flight in North Carolina two years ago. Our 27 nonstop destinations are just the beginning. Establishing bases in Charlotte and Wilmington, as well as our international expansion at our RDU base, enables us to bring even more affordable, convenient and industry-leading reliability to more destinations. Below are the new routes out of Charlotte and Wilmington:

Charlotte Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA)

  • Daytona Beach (DAB) operating Thursdays and Sundays beginning April 3, 2025
  • Nashville (BNA) operating Mondays and Fridays beginning beginning April 4, 2025

Wilmington International Airport (ILM)

  • Boston / Manchester (MHT) operating Thursdays and Sundays beginning April 3, 2025
  • Rochester (ROC) operating Tuesdays and Sundays beginning April 4, 2025
  • Nashville (BNA) operating Thursdays and Sundays beginning April 3, 2025
