On March 30, 2024 Avelo Airlines announced three new nonstop destinations out of their growing Tweed New Haven Connecticut base (HVN). Beginning June 2024, Avelo will operate nonstop from Tweed New Haven to Houston Hobby (HOU), Saint Louis (STL) and Traverse City (TVC). In celebration of the new routes, limited time introductory fares can be found for as low as $62.
Growing Tweed New Haven
Avelo is betting big in Tweed New Haven. The ultra low cost carrier will now serve 24 nonstop destinations from New Haven to 11 states and Puerto Rico. In order to meet the increased demand, Avelo is also announcing the addition of a sixth Boeing 737 aircraft to the New Haven base. According to Avelo the additional aircraft is expected to create 35 new jobs at the airport. Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said, โWe are excited to offer Connecticut residents even more travel options with the addition of Houston, St. Louis and Traverse City. Whether visiting friends and family, enjoying a leisurely vacation or attending an important business meeting, Avelo offers time and money-saving convenience for Connecticut travelers.” The new flights from New Haven will operate on the following schedule:
- Houston William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) begins June 14 Mondays and Fridays.
- St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) begins June 13 Thursdays and Sundays.
- Traverse City Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) begins June 15 Saturday only.
