On day two of the Paris International Air Show American Airlines placed an order with Brazilian aviation manufacturer Embraer for seven Embraer E175 aircraft. The aircraft will operate on behalf of American Airlines wholly owned regional subsidiary Envoy Air. Deliveries will begin Q4 2023 with a contract value estimated at over $400 million according to Embraer. This order will bring Envoy’s fleet to over 140 aircraft by the end of 2024. Currently the airline has began phasing out smaller Embraer E145 regional jets in favor of the three class E175s.
Growing Orders For Embraer
Embraer also secured multiple orders on day two of the Paris International Air Show. Back in January 2023, an undisclosed order was placed for 15 E195-E2 jets. Leasing company Azorra was the undisclosed customer with a order valuation of $1.2 Billion. Binter Canary Islands also secured orders for six E195 E-2s at the airshow. This year orders have grown from purchases from Royal Jordanian, Scoot and North American operator Porter. As the Paris International Airshow progresses more orders from Embraer and other manufactures may transpire.
