American Airlines is making some welcome changes to the onboard product just in time for the busy Summer travel season. New inflight meals, snacks and Wi-Fi connectivity will be part of new enhancements to the onboard experience. Sam Cisek VP of Customer Experience had this to say regarding the new experiences, โWe know customers want a convenient travel experience throughout their journey on American and to arrive at their destination satisfied and ready to explore โ a focus we keep in mind when refreshing and creating new experiences for them to enjoy on the ground and in the skies.โ The new offerings will enhance the airlines goal of revamping the experience including new admirals clubs and a reimagined flagship product.
New Inflight Meals
Those flying on transcon American Flagship service flights now have a new food option to select. The Plant-Based Bulgogi Noodle Bowl with yakisoba noodles, stir fry vegetables and plant-based beef crumbles will soon be available. On flights between Europe and Chicago (ORD) premium cabin passengers can enjoy dishes from MICHELIN 2023 honoree restaurant Avli on the Park. The Chicago based restaurant will provide Greek Beef Orzo Stew, Kagiana Egg Scrambles for breakfast and more. New buy on board snacks will be available on flights 1,300 miles or more. A fruit and cheese plate as well as a breakfast bag can be purchased in the main cabin starting this month.
More Connectivity
Faster Wi-Fi and streaming will come to American Airlines aircraft with the slower Panasonic systems used onboard long haul aircraft. On international flights, passengers can now enjoy faster Wi-Fi speeds and more reliable connectivity due to increased bandwidth. T-Mobile customers with Go5G Plus, Go5G, Magenta, Magenta MAX and select sprint plans will have access to complimentary Wi-Fi. According to American 100% of regional and narrowbody aircrafts with Wi-Fi will support T-Mobiles In-Flight Connection On Us program by July 2023. These are welcome changes that will better the overall inflight experience on American Airlines.
