Aer Lingus has announced a further expansion of their codeshare agreement with American Airlines, making it possible to book more transatlantic flights through either airlines websites. The codeshare agreement between the two airlines was launched last year, enabling Aer Lingus passengers to book flights from Dublin to Charlotte (CLT) and Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) on American Airlines via aerlingus.com.
An Expanding Partnership
Currently the codeshare partnership is formed from a Atlantic Joint Business (AJB) partnership which included American Airlines, British Airways, Iberia and Finnair. In October 2023 Aer Lingus terminated an existing partnership with United Airlines. Meanwhile American Airlines is expanding their codeshare destinations with Aer Lingus allowing for Aer Lingus customers to book connecting travel with American Airlines to Albuquerque (ABQ), Nashville (BNA), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Las Vegas (LAS), Kansas City (MCI), Portland (PDX) San Jose, California (SJC), Tampa (TPA) and Tucson (TUS). The partnership will be a win win for passengers on both sides of the pond, opening up new exciting destinations.
