Alaska Airlines is now making it easier to verify passport information prior to heading to the airport. As it is a United States requirement to have passports verified by airlines leaving or entering the country, Alaska Airline’s Mobile Verify program takes the hassle out of passport checks. Passengers will no longer have to wait at ticketing desks or gate podiums to have their documents checked. Instead, passengers can now verify passport information from the comfort of their own homes.
Improving The Customer Experience
Using the Mobile Verify program eliminates having to wait in long lines. To use the new program passengers much be over the age of 13 and hold a valid US or Canadian passport. Simply download the Airside App and create an account. Once a passenger downloads the app all that has to be done is to select Alaska Airlines in the app and consent to sharing of digital identity information for the selected flight. Currently the app is only able to accommodate passport verification for one flight at a time. Mobile verify is operational effective August 29, 2023. It is still however possible to go to a ticketing counter to verify passport information should additional assistance be required.
