Airbus has delivered its first Chinese manufactured Airbus A321neo to Juneyao Air marking a historic milestone for the aviation manufacturer. This brings Airbus to a total of four factories throughout the globe including France, Germany, China and the United States. All of the aforementioned factories manufacture the A320neo family of aircraft, enhancing Airbus’s flexibility to meet the demand for future A320neo family orders. Since the opening of the Tianjin. China factory in 2009 over 600 aircraft have been produced in the factory. The delivery flight will use a 10% sustainable aviation fuel blend supporting a growing global initiative to seek environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional aviation fuel. Recently, Airbus successfully flew an A321neo from their headquarters in Toulouse, France with both engines operating solely off of 100% unblended sustainable aviation fuel. The increased production in China in conjunction with SAF operated deliveries will enhance the delivery process for one of Airbus’s most popular selling aircraft.
