When thinking of loyalty lounges, most often associate a lounge within an airport. Did you know, some hotels offer a complimentary lounge to thank their highest tiered loyalty members? Marriott is one of the brands that thank their Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador elite members lounge access. To achieve status for lounge access you must stay 50 nights a year to achieve Platinum elite status.
What’s included in the lounges?
In our experience, each lounge is unique in their offerings. Recently, a good majority of lounges are still closed and the hotels are saying the lounge is closed due to COVID. While it seems as though Marriott lounges are more frequent outside of the United States, you are still able to experience a lounge within the United States.

While these brands are offering lounges, each location is different. If the lounge is not accessible during your stay and you are a Platinum, Titanium or Ambassador Elite, the hotel will offer you 750 bonus points or breakfast for two. If you planned on utilizing breakfast at the hotel the breakfast credit is almost always a better deal, however, if you’d prefer to try a local breakfast eatery you can opt for the points.
The Ritz Carlton offers concierge lounge access at select properties, while this is normally paid as it is a room option, if you are lucky enough they may upgrade you, but that has only happened a select few times that we are aware of.
The photos in this article were taken at the Marriott Houston IAH Airport hotel, as a Titanium elite member we were granted access to the M Club Lounge and got to enjoy the offerings. Marriott keeps these lounges very simple with a subdued entrance. This results in a calm and quiet atmosphere to get some work done or to just sit down and relax for a bit.
