JetBlue Airways has announced two new nonstop routes out of Orlando International Airport (MCO). Launching in November 2023 JetBlue will fly from Orlando MCO to Punta Cana (PUJ) and Santiago (STI). These new routes are part of JetBlue’s larger plan to have over 200 daily flights out of Orlando MCO by 2027. In order to reach this amount of daily flights JetBlue envisions a successful combination of JetBlue and Spirit with the combined airlines entering untapped markets. In a recent press release JetBlue has stated that they would offer flights to approximately 20 markets that are not served by JetBlue or Spirit. If the merger is approved, JetBlue will increase flight frequencies on approximately 25 routes. Currently the JetBlue Spirit merger has been blocked by the Justice Department. The two new routes to Punta Cana and Santiago will be unaffected by the merger decision as these routes will be operated by JetBlue. Limited time introductory fares can be found for as low as $123. The route schedule and launch date will be as follows:
Orlando International Airport MCO
- Punta Cana PUJ November 4th 1X daily
- Santiago STI November 4th 1X daily
