Hyatt has announced the First Hyatt Centric hotel opening in Canada, Hyatt Centric Ville-Marie Montréal. The property located in the heart of Old Montréal features 177 rooms including 5 suites and a signature on-site restaurant with a focus on Quebec and British cuisines. A rooftop pool is slated to open in summer of 2023. There are 4 event spaces totaling over 5,000 square feet. The overall design of the hotel was leaded by local architect Provencher Roy and Ivy studios. Hyatt further expands their brand portfolio in Canada with over 26 brands and growing globally. The Hyatt Centric brand is a full service lifestyle hotel. Each hotel offers social spaces to connect with others in the lobby and around common areas. Onsite restaurants and bars are featured on many properties. Lifestyle hotels are being built in Canada and globally. Recently, Hilton launched their first Canadian lifestyle property, Canopy By Hilton. Additional Hyatt Centric hotel properties may open in the Canadian market in the next coming years.
