On February 7, 2023 Delta Air Lines announced that effective April 1, 2023 eligible Delta employees will receive a 5% pay increase. In a memo to Delta Air Lines employees, CEO Ed Bastian said “This well-earned increase is a direct result of your efforts.”
Anyone not otherwise covered by an industry, government, or collective bargaining agreement will receive the raise. This includes employees across the board – from flight attendants to ground employees.
In the past few weeks Delta employees learned they had earned $563 million in profit sharing. This is on the heels of Delta’s strong earnings in 2022.
This pay increase comes after a 4% pay increase in 2022, and 12 base pay increases over the last 15 years that totals an average of 80% increase in base pay.
