Lets face it Delta Air Lines is gunning for market share out of the competitive Boston Market. They are the second largest operator out of the Airport following JetBlue Airways. In keeping up with the demand out of Boston, Delta will be adding additional capacity on Patriots Day to Florida and Georgia between April 17, 18, 23, 24, 25 and 26. The extra flights amount to approximately 6,000 additional seats out of Boston.
Ramping Up Flights In Time For Spring Break
Honestly this is a strategic move for Delta. Boston is a successful domestic and international market for them. Given that the schedule aligns with spring break, flights should fill up quite quickly. “Patriots’ Day is a uniquely Boston celebration, and we’re excited to offer nearly 6,000 additional seats on flights out of Boston to give our customers even more ways to make the most of the long weekend,” said Amy Martin, Vice President – Network Planning. “Whether you’re chasing sunshine, reuniting with loved ones or just taking a well-earned break, these new routes make it easier than ever to take off from Boston and land somewhere sunny.” Below is a list of the additional flight frequencies:
