Contour Airlines is an operator that you probably haven’t heard much about. They primarly operate routes covered under the Essential Air Service (EAS) and operated non EAS routes pre pandemic. Contour will provide seasonal (non EAS)service from Muscle Shoals Northwest Alabama Regional Airport (MSL) to Pensacola International Airport (PNS). Flights are currently bookable through August 2, 2025.
A Unique Seasonal Route
This is a rather unique seasoinal route for Contour Airlines. Under the Alternate Essential Air Service (AEAS) program, Contour provides nonstop service from Muscle Shoals to Charlotte. “We are pleased to welcome Contour Airlines’ new nonstop service to Muscle Shoals,” said Matt Coughlin, Pensacola International Airport Director. “This route strengthens our regional connectivity and provides a valuable link between Northwest Florida and the historic Shoals area. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Contour Airlines to offer more travel opportunities for our community.” The flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays departing Muscle Shoals at 12:50PM arriving into Pensacola at 2:15PM. The return flight departs at 3:00-PM arriving into Muscle Shoals at 4:25PM. Introductory fares can be found for as low as $99 one way which includes a complimentary first checked bag and snacks and beverages.
