Flybe Abruptly Ceases Operations

,

British air carrier Flybe has announced that they will cease all operations effective January 28th. In a tweet the airline stated that Flybe has been placed into administration and that all flights operating in and out of the UK have been canceled. British Airways is assisting affected Flybe customers by offering reduced airfares on select routes. Ryanair and easyJet have also offered reduced fares to assist affected passengers. This is the second time that Flybe has entered administration. In November 2006, Flybe purchased BA Connect, rebranding to Flybe. Then on March 5 2020, Flybe filed for administration and ceased all operations. Following their recent relaunch Flybe flew to 22 destinations utilizing 8 De Havilland Canada Dash 8 Q400 turboprops.
