Expanding Routes Out Of Fort Myers

Fort Myers is a growing city for Sun Country Airlines. Currently the airline flies from Fort Myers to Minneapolis Saint Paul (MSP) as well as seasonal service to Eau Clair (EAU), Madison (MSN) and Milwaukee (MKE). With the seasonal service from Duluth, Sun Country will replicate their operating model at Minneapolis by transporting passengers away from the frigid cold to sunny destinations like Fort Myers. Sun Country previously operated Deluth to Fort Myers in Winter of 2023. Clearly Sun Country sees enough demand to resume the seasonal route for the 2024 winter season. โ€œWe are excited to welcome Sun Country back with this direct route to Fort Myers, which has been a favorite among leisure travelers for its convenienceโ€ said Tom Werner, Duluth Airport Authoritiesโ€™ Executive Director. โ€œIf the route is to expand its season in Duluth going forward, we as a community must demonstrate demand to do so.โ€
