Spirit Airlines has announced a brand refresh and the launch of the “more fly” campaign as the airline kicks off new booking options and new premium offerings. Effective August 14, 2024 passengers can now book Go Big, Go Comfy, Go Savvy, and Go now travel bundles on the airlines website.
A Change To The Operating Model
Spirit Airlines is undergoing a transformation to their operating model following declining financial performance and a failed merger attempt with JetBlue Airways. As the airline looks to innovate and change their business model, new changes are being implemented such as no change fees and a business like product offering on their Big Front Seat. Additionally Spirit is launching blocked middle seats in the two rows behind the Big Front Seats. In celebration of these changes Spirit Airlines is redoing their brand motif introducing their iconic yellow and black color palate in addition to a revamped logo. The refreshed look comes as Spirit Airlines takes inspiration by the new elevated options that empower travelers to feel “More Fly” on every journey. The updated look and brand voice are being unveiled on spirit.com, the Spirit mobile app, and across the airline’s digital channels and advertising. We are making major investments to provide our Guests with greater value and enhance their travel experience,” said Ted Christie, President and Chief Executive Officer at Spirit Airlines. “This is an excellent opportunity for new Guests and those who haven’t flown with us recently to experience our transformation and see for themselves the great value they can enjoy when choosing Spirit.” This will hopefully give Spirit Airlines a completive edge as even established airlines like Southwest Airlines change their operating model as the market undergoes a rapid evolution.
