In a surprising move, Breeze Airways is entering into Avelo Airlines east coast mega fortress, Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN). On August 13, 2024 Breeze Airways announced ten new nonstop routes out of New Haven including six to Florida. Flights will begin operating out of New Haven on December 10 with base fares as low as $49.
Continuing Expansion Out Of Connecticut
Breeze Airways entering into New Haven solidifies their growth in the Connecticut area. Initial flights will commence December 10, with five times weekly nonstop flights to Fort Myers, and then, on the 11th, to Orlando and West Palm Beach. On December 13 flights to Vero Beach will commence. Interestingly, Breeze Airways also announced plans to expand operations Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Hartford including international service. According to Breeze, the airline is in the final stages of securing the required certifications for international operations. “From ‘Day Oneโ our playbook has included significant growth across the Northeast region of the U.S. due to the high population density and limited nonstop travel options,โ said Lukas Johnson, Breeze Airwaysโ Chief Commercial Officer. โAs a result, our unique model of air service has been a game-changer for this area of the country, giving residents affordable flights from convenient airports such as Hartford, Westchester County, Providence, Stewart-Newburgh, and now, New Haven, just to name a few. I know that as more and more people experience our one-of-a-kind service and product, they will see what all the hype is about and why Breeze has grown so quickly in such a short period of time.โ Below are the routes Breeze will operate out of HVN:
