Hilton announced Spark by Hilton to their growing portfolio of brands. Hilton describes Spark by Hilton as a premium economy brand that “delivers a simple, reliable, and comfortable stay.” Hilton anticipates the first Spark by Hilton will open in 2023, with the first location to be announced in the coming months.
Signature Bagel Bar
A new feature that Hilton announced was the Signature Bagel Bar, that will offer the guests a simple complimentary breakfast including premium coffee, juices, bagels and spreads.
Rooms
Each room will come with an empty mini-fridge offering guests the space to store their own items. Unlike most economy hotels the guest rooms will not include in-room coffee and tea. However, there will be a hand-selected assortment of premium coffee and teas available in the lobby 24/7. In Hilton’s extensive research they eliminated amenities in the room that do not see much use, such as ice buckets, alarm clocks and microwaves.
Hilton decided to focus on more “practical amenities” such as open closets, multi-purpose work spaces and bright bathrooms.
Lobby and Public Spaces
Spark by Hilton has opted to not include business centers in the hotels and instead will offer a print on demand offering at the front desk. Spark by Hilton plans to offer “simple, inspired design with splashes of color and cheerfulness that bring the outdoors in.” While each hotel is said to offer a welcoming experience upon arrival with energizing artwork and statement walls. Spark by Hilton plans to offer numerous seating options that Hilton describes as multi-functional, this seating is said to include picnic tables and rocking chairs to really bring the sense to “bring the outdoors in.”
This brand seems to offer a unique spin on an economy brand. With each company offering unique brands to their portfolio, this is a brand to try in 2023.
